“I honestly don’t consider Tiana as one of the princesses. I know I get a lot of flack from that opinion but think about it: she’s from New Orleans, LA. The fact that she’s from the U.S. at all should rule her out. The US isn’t a real glamorous place, and never ever had any royalty, real or not. Yes I understand Pochahantas was a Native American and also essentially from the U.S. but she is considered a princess because she was the Chief’s daughter, ergo, automatic princess.”
i don’t consider your opinion valid.
But…she…married a prince…just like Cinderella and Belle did - two women who weren’t, in fact, princesses before they married royalty so…:-/
That’s just stupid. Of course Tiana is a princess.
Also, if you don’t believe the U.S. has had people on the same level with royalty, lemme tell you about the robber barons. *facepalms*
The only actual princesses in the original Disney Princess line up were Aurora, Jasmine, and Ariel.
Mulan has fewer ties to royalty than Tiana but she’s still considered a princess because she fits the Disney Princess Mythos.
AS DOES TIANA.
