I really love that she takes masculine roles for herself - Nicki says SHE is the king. She takes those positions of power for herself without seeming regard (I say seeming because I do think it’s deliberate) for gender.

And so she presents a duality - she’s hyperfemme in her presentation while she takes on this mantle of socially mandated, traditional male power. It’s so awesome.
